There would be advantages to a human that is half man and half primate. It would be able to communicate with both primates and humans so it could get primates to work for us by acting as an alpha male. It would be stronger and also slightly faster than an ordinary human. However dumber. How much dumber depends on the the human. a dumb human and a primate would make a retarded human. A smart human and a primate would make it only slighter dumber to average intelligence.
